Kathy Kennedy

Kathy Kennedy is a sound artist whose practice involves the voice in relation to physical space, the public square, technology and radio. Co-founder of Studio XX (now Ada-X), a feminist media arts center, she also founded and directed Chœur Maha, a feminist vocal ensemble, for 25 years. She currently teaches electroacoustics and chamber choir at Concordia University, and divides her time between Montreal and the Gaspé Peninsula. She is involved in sound ecology and radio installations, and holds a certificate in Deep Listening. After years of involvement in community projects, she returned to her first passion, vocal exploration.
