Exploration of local radio airwaves | Produits dérivés

Updated: Sep 27, 2023

This project for Radio-Hull explores the local radio airwaves as a building material for a new sound space. Using fragments of broadcast content such as talk shows, news bulletins, music, advertisements and more, we will deconstruct, reconstruct and juxtapose them to create a new sound language.

The artistic approach is based on the creative reappropriation of the existing radio landscape. By extracting elements from different sources, we'll be able to explore the multiple facets of audio communication and play with contrasts, themes and atmospheres, so as to establish a new link between the listener and the radio waves.

A member of the FAU Mardi collective, Nicolas Sylvestre is passionate about all things electronic. For the past ten years, he has been exploring sound and musical forms, manipulating them at the frontier of experimentation and reverie.
